Exchangeable dual-comb light sources – now starting at CHF 25’000
The dual-comb laser modules for the IRis platform are exchangeable light sources to adapt the instrument’s spectral range to the user’s regions of interest.
Each module contains two quantum cascade laser (QCL) frequency combs for the mid-infrared range, which are collimated and factory pre-aligned to allow easy exchange. They rely on the direct generation of frequency combs in the range of approximately 4.5 µm – 11 µm (about 2200 cm-1 to 900 cm-1) in QCLs and do not require nonlinear conversion of near-IR frequency comb light. Emission powers of up to hundreds of mW are typical, depending on spectral range and application.
The laser modules for the IRis-C are in LMC form factor. They are factory prealigned for path lengths up to 2 meters.
The LMC is available in the ASC configuration with mode spacing 0.33 cm-1. LMC form factor modules may be used in the IRis-F1 and IRis-core platforms as well and an adapter is available which enables the electrical and mechanical transfer from one form factor to the other.
