In this webinar, we will demo the second generation circular multi-pass cell “IRcell-S” based on individually shaped mirror segments, yielding a straightforward alignment, improved transmitted beam profile and longer path lengths up to 15 meters. We will show the product, the alignment process and the fringe performance live in the webinar.
Multipass cells are used to fold a long optical path into a small volume to increase the sensitivity of an optical measurement. A key parameter of multipass cells is the ratio of path length to volume, because smaller volumes result in shorter system response times and lower sample consumption. Circular multipass cell offer a particularly low volume compared to other designs.

Speakers
Markus Geiser
The webinar will be hosted by Markus Geiser, a Co-founder and Managing Director at IRsweep since 2014 after completing a Ph.D. in Physics at ETH Zurich on Quantum Cascade devices. He co-developed the IRis-F1 dual-comb spectrometer and is now focusing on commercial activities in IRsweep.
Martin Statelov
Joining the panel will be Martin Statelov, he joined IRsweep as Manufacturing Engineer in 2018 after finishing master's degree in Physics at ETH Zurich. He focused on Optics and Semiconductor Physics, and carried out his thesis in 2D material studies. He played a key role in establishing manufacturing procedures for the IRis-F1 and in developing novel multi-pass IRcell-S.
